FAQs

Q: Do we have to do this?

A: Not at all! We are offering this as a platform for your athletes to raise money for themselves. Think of it like an online lemonade stand. They get to tap into their national network of family, friends, neighbors, and local businesses to support their efforts to play club volleyball.

Q: If I have paid my dues in full and receive donations and chose to apply them to my account, do I get a refund?

A: Possibly. This is contingent on your club’s policy. Some clubs will assign your secured donations toward credit for future programming. Ask your club director or email families@lovb.com to check on your options.

Q: Do all donors receive prizes?

A: Again, this is contingent on your club’s policy. Some clubs have chosen to dedicate all donations to financial aid funds instead of allocating resources to donor prizes. Check with your club director to check on their donor prize policy. If you are interested in sponsoring a LOVB club, please reach out to your club director or families@lovb.com to discuss partnership options.

Q: Are the donations a tax deduction?

A: Yes, donations are tax-deductible. A receipt will be sent.

Q: Can my team work together to raise funds for a specific tournament or event?

A: Yes! Please work with your club director to ensure they have staff and resource available to attend the event. Then they can dedicate all of your donations to that specific event.
