Share the Love Cheer Snap! Raise

February 5, 2025, is National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and during the month of February, we are sharing the love for Snap! Raise and highlighting women’s and girl’s sports teams! Chesnee High School Cheerleading Coach Allie Tyner has been using Snap! Raise since 2022 to fundraise for her cheer team. Check out how Snap! Raise has been able to make a difference for her athletes!

Q: What are the benefits you’ve experienced using Snap! Raiseʼs online fundraising platform?

A: We started using Snap! Raise during Covid. It was a way to have family involved in our fundraisers even if they couldn’t make it to our comps! It has helped us purchase items for our program so that parents don’t have to pay more than what we already ask of them!

Q: What has your group been able to do with the money raised during your Snap! Raise fundraiser? How has it made a difference for your athletes?

A: Since we started using Snap! Raise, we have been able to purchase new comp uniforms, new poms, and new football uniforms for our program! They had to work for things they wanted that were extra and what is not to love about new uniforms!!

Q: What recommendations or tips would you have for a fellow coach or group leader when running a Snap! Raise fundraiser?

A: Sending my kids reminders and deadlines for Snap! really made a difference! They were rewarded for sending extra texts or just completing what they were assigned to do. Helping remind the kids and updating them on their progress pushed them to get more.

Q: What’s one thing you think other people should know about Snap! Raise?

A: Snap! Raise is easy! We are not selling anything, and people love to help support us, especially if they can’t support in person. They feel like a part of our program and help us achieve goals!

Q: What does National Girls & Women in Sports Day mean to your team, and how do you see your fundraising efforts supporting that vision?

A: National Girls & Women in Sports Day means we are valid and our sport is important. Our fundraising efforts go along with our vision of you work hard for what you want. Whether that is a firstplace trophy, making it to State, or winning State, if we want it, we work hard.

Q: What challenges do women’s and girls’ teams typically face in securing resources, and how did this fundraiser help overcome those obstacles?

A: In our sport, uniforms are a statement and part of our story, as well as expensive pieces. We don’t have the resources to just get that kind of money off the bat. We have to fundraise if we want to spend on this big of a purchase. Our fundraising made it easy so that we could control whether we got the gear or not – it was up to us to earn it.

Q: As you celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day, what does it feel like to know your fundraising success is part of a bigger movement for equity and opportunity?

A: As we celebrate, I know my team works hard for what they want! It is an amazing feeling to be rewarded for not giving up and working hard for everything that you get. These successes help these girls believe in themselves and each other, showing them that they are capable of being successful at whatever they put their minds to. Snap! Raise has helped us in so many ways. We are glad it is part of our program, and we will continue to use it throughout our upcoming seasons.

Coach Allie Tyner’s cheer teams have raised more than $22,000 since 2022, and we are looking forward to seeing what Coach Tyner and the Chesnee Cheerleading team can do in the 2025 season!
